South American and Argentinian flavours and traditions meet Canadian Prairie ingredients and influences. The menu makes room for Canadian beef, bison, and venison alongside the flavours, preparations, and traditions Alfonso grew up with.
It is not about reproducing one cuisine or forcing two traditions into every dish. It is a way of cooking shaped by both places: Alfonso’s South American roots, the Canadian Prairies he now calls home, and a lifelong belief that good food is meant to be shared.
Dos Pampas is a family-owned Winnipeg restaurant. Alfonso and his wife Roxana have built their lives here. When the opportunity arose to bring the skyline dining room back to life, they wanted to return the space to the city with food they genuinely enjoy cooking and eating.
The restaurant may sit 30 floors above Winnipeg, but its story begins much closer to the ground: with two stretches of prairie, a family kitchen, a fire, and food passed from one person to another.
South American roots. Canadian Prairie influences. Winnipeg at home.
